Frequenly Asked Questions

How is Functional Medicine Different?

Functional medicine involves understanding the origins, prevention, and treatment of complex, chronic disease. Hallmarks of a functional medicine approach include:

  • Patient-centered care. The focus of functional medicine is on patient-centered care, promoting optimal health beyond just the absence of disease. By listening to the patient and learning his or her story, the practitioner brings the patient into the discovery process and tailors treatments that address the individual’s unique needs.

  • An integrative, science-based healthcare approach. Functional medicine practitioners consider the complex web of interactions in the patient’s history, physiology, and lifestyle that can lead to illness. The unique genetic makeup of each patient is considered, along with both internal (mind, body and spirit) and external (physical, social and environmental) factors that affect total functioning.

  • Integrating best medical practices. Functional medicine integrates traditional Western medical practices with “integrative” medicine, creating a focus on prevention. Data is obtained through the use of the latest laboratory testing and other diagnostic techniques. A comprehensive plan is then prescribed for the individual patient which may include hormonal balancing, medications, botanicals, supplements, therapeutic diets, detoxification programs, and stress-management techniques.

How long does it take to get results?

One of the hallmarks of functional medicine is it’s emphasis on patient individuality. While two people may have the same symptoms, their underlying causes may be quite different.   In addition, other factors in their history may either slow or speed up the healing process. The vast majority of our patients feel improvement within the first month of care but realize that it will often take many months for complete resolution of the problem. Our typical programs are a minimum of 6 months long.

  • Simple lifestyle changes, such as regular exercise, better sleep and elimination of alcohol

  • Testing for hormone imbalances or nutritional deficiencies

  • Assessing family medical history and using FM as a means of prevention

  • Strengthening the body’s normal healing abilities rather than narrowly attacking symptoms or disease

  • Eating whole foods instead of unhealthy processed foods.

Bioresonance Treatment

Non Invasive Body Reboot

BioResonance Therapy (BRT) is a painless and quick method of testing and treatment that offers the possibility of specifically treating all kinds of diseases successfully!

This is exciting because many diseases, (and in particular allergic and chronic diseases) are not easily cured and in fact, only rarely are they cured with conventional medical methods.

BRT achieves extremely good success in the following areas:

  • Addictions: to food, alcohol, chemicals, nicotine, emotion

  • Allergies/sensitivities: to healthy food, fats, sugars, alcohol, chemicals, heavy metals (mercury etc), environmental inhaled substances (pollens, grass, petrol etc.)

  • Asthma, Hayfever, Skin problems

  • Hormonal imbalances leading to various complaints including weight problems, menstrual and menopausal issues

  • Psycho-immunology: Illness and stressed conditions where the primary cause lies in some past emotional, mental or physical trauma that the person has never got over fully

Energy is the basic fundamental element of life. Good energy = Good health / Poor energy = Poor health. Therefore if your health is suffering it is your energy that needs attention. If you measure a sound wave then play back that sound wave, the two waves cancel each other out. The result will be silence. This is the same principal with BRT. Since the therapy involves detoxifying the body, side effects such as headaches, nausea, or flu-like symptoms may appear after treatment.

The key to avoiding these adverse reactions is to follow your instructions (don't take a higher dose of your remedy than prescribed) and drink LOTS of water while undergoing your treatment. If these symptoms appear or persist, stop the remedy and call the office.

Gwyneth Paltrow 47 Years Old

Gwyneth Paltrow is a popular Hollywood actress who is also well-known for her healthy lifestyle. In September 2008, Paltrow started her lifestyle website called Goop. Over the years, Goop transformed from a “regular” website into a lifestyle brand that people love to follow. Goop is famous for its tips and tricks that can be of huge benefit to people who want to have a healthy life. One of the website’s posts introduces bioresonance and speaks about its efficacy. This particular post is called Why There is No One-Size-Fits-All Approach to Treating Lyme Disease where an integrated medicine practitioner spoke about this infectious disease and its treatment.

The article writes about Bioresonance Analysis of Health (BAH), an evaluation method that utilizes resonance techniques to evaluate the body’s frequencies with the help of blood work. BAH helps practitioners identify the types of pathological factors that aggravate and contribute to your condition. In addition, this technique evaluates toxicity, pathogens, pH, stresses, and the function of the autonomic nervous system, as well as many other factors. According to the post, this therapy is better than the conventional approach due to its versatility and the fact it is unique to every patient rather than treating every case like it’s the same.
